Pride Football Club is an “age pure” organization consisting of 5U/6U flag football, and 7U through 14U divisions of tackle football. Age pure allows kids to play against opponents their own age, which is both safer and allows players to see more time on the field. Pride Football Club is the only local organization that offers age pure football.
With all the news concerning concussions in football over the last few years the Pride sought out their first national sponsor, Unequal Technologies. Under the sponsorship agreement, Unequal will provide all Pride tackle players with their incredibly protective gear. Unequal technology has over 60 patents relating to the use of Kevlar to protect athletes and soldiers. Kevlar has been used in bulletproof vests and police riot helmets for over 10 years, and for the first time it is available to protect football players. Unequal products are the safest football gear to ever hit the market by providing shock reduction of up to 80 percent.
This year, every Pride Football player will be outfitted with this exceptional safety technology at no additional cost. Each and every helmet will be lined with Unequal’s CRT. We are serious about protecting our kids.
Pride Football Club is very proud of how well the 2011 season concluded. Two of the younger teams won the USA Football Regional Championships and two of the older teams had a combined league play record of 28-1. The Pride also had their first Texas State Youth Football Championship team. We attribute our winning records to stressing proper hitting technique and allowing our player to progress at their own pace to instill confidence in the players. The emphasis on teaching fundamental football leads to winning football games and having fun on the field.
Pride Football Club working with Venue Sports Marketing LLC, Unequal Technologies, HD Athletes, and eMarket Team to give our players and cheerleaders the opportunity to play and perform at Cowboy’s Stadium at the “Battle X” games on August 18, 2012. It is the second year the Pride will be host this event. Football teams from across the state, Oklahoma and Arkansas will have the opportunity to compete on the same field as the Dallas Cowboys. It is a terrific experience for the players, cheerleaders, coaches, and the fans. PFC will also play host to the North Texas Association of Youth Football Regional Playoffs and dates are being worked out for games to be held at SMU's Ford Stadium.
