FORNEY, Texas – Three promotional videos for the 2013 Unity Bowl between the Forney High School Jackrabbits and the North Forney High School Falcons debuted on Vimeo and Facebook earlier this week. The short films include footage from last year's Unity Bowl game and also footage from football games and practices.
FORNEY, Texas – Three promotional videos for the 2013 Unity Bowl between the Forney High School Jackrabbits and the North Forney High School Falcons debuted on Vimeo and Facebook earlier this week. The short films include footage from last year's Unity Bowl game and also footage from football games and practices.
The short films were shot and produced by Townsend Photography and Film which is owned by Forney High School graduates, and husband and wife team, James and Lori Townsend. The couple also produced three short films last year to promote the inaugural Unity Bowl football game.
James Townsend says his motivation behind these short films is to inspire and motivate the teams, students, and the community. “At the end of the day,” Townsend says, “it is a rivalry game and I want to help drive the energy and excitement.”
Some of Townsend's filming took place at the schools during the football teams athletic periods. “It's been awesome working with the athletes and coaches on these projects,” said Townsend.
The three short films released so far can be viewed below. According to Townsend, another short film will be released tomorrow morning before the big game and another short film will be released after the game is over.
The two teams will take the field tomorrow, October 25, 2013, at 7:30 p.m. at City Bank Stadium. A community-wide tailgate party will be at the Spellman Amphitheater at 4:30 p.m. before the game.
