HEATH, Texas — Rockwall-Heath (4-2, 2-1) shut out North Forney (1-5, 0-3) Friday night in a 52-0 homecoming victory for the The Hawks.
Rockwall-Heath scored in each quarter, amassed 429 total yards, and held the Falcons to only 80 total yards on the night. Rockwall-Heath began the scoring with an 8-yard Rico Henderson touchdown run mid-first quarter.
Henderson would go on to score three touchdowns on the night, the other two being a 4- and 9-yard runs in the second quarter. Jordan Hoy passed to Mark Bielski for a 22-yard touchdown, also in the second quarter, which included a Tyler McCalister 11-yard run and an Omar Shalabi 23-yard field goal.
The Hawks went into halftime with a 38-0 lead which resulted in a running clock in the second half. The Hawks finished the game with a Hoy pass to Chase Peterson for a 10-yard touchdown in the third quarter and an 8-yard run from Caanan Smith for the Hawks final touchdown in the fourth quarter to seal the 52-0 victory over North Forney.
North Forney played quarterback Brent Taylor early in the game who was intercepted twice and sacked for a 20-yard loss. Herndon completed one pass on five attempts for four yards and rushed once for no gain.
Darius Palmer led the Falcons offense with 42 rushing yards on 11 carries followed by James Nixon with 40 rushing yards on 4 carries.
North Forney will play the winless South Garland (0-6, 0-3) at home in City Bank Stadium in Forney, Texas, next Friday, October 17, 2014.
