Terrell will have a shot at redemption in the area-round of the playoffs against Kennedale which defeated them 21-20 earlier this season.
Terrell’s Elija McQueen and Tiyea Zanders each rushed for over 100 yards each and 6 total touchdowns, 4 and 2, respectively, en route to their victory.
Paris North Lamar’s Sam Cowling rushed for a 68-yard touchdown on the team’s first possession with just under a minute played in the game. On the Tiger’s first possession, Paris North Lamar forced a fumble and recovered it in the end zone for another touchdown with less than a minute of play.
The two touchdowns would be the only scored by Paris North Lamar on the night.
The Tigers went on to score 42 uncontested points with at least one touchdown in each quarter.
In the first quarter, McQueen closed 2 Tiger drives on 7- and 5-yard drives with 8:32 and 1:25 remaining on the clock, respectively.
McQueen snagged his third touchdown on a 27-yard rush with 10:07 in the second quarter to put the Tigers up 21-13 going into halftime.
35 seconds into the second half, Zanders rushed for a 36-yard touchdown and McQueen capped his fourth touchdown on the night with 7:09 on the clock having sealed another drive with a 3-yard scamper.
Zanders scored the final touchdown of the night with 10:25 on the clock in the fourth quarter on a 49-yard run for a final score of 42-13.
The Tigers accumulated 395 total yards on the night with 293 rushing on the heels of Mcqueen, 137, and Zanders, 122. Kendrick Richardson also rushed for 54 yards on 5 carries.
Zanders would also pass for 102 yards on the night with Richardson receiving for 62 yards on 2 receptions and Travis Davis with 34 yards on 2 receptions.
Terrell will next play Kennedale in the area-round of the playoffs on Friday night at Eagle Stadium in Desoto, Texas, at 7:30 p.m.
Kennedale defeated bi-district opponent Wilmer-Hutchins 63-0.
