FORNEY, Texas – The North Forney High School Falcons shutout their homecoming opponents, Dallas Molina, for their first win of the season and final non-district game.

FORNEY, Texas – The North Forney High School Falcons shutout their homecoming opponents, Dallas Molina, for their first win of the season and final non-district game.

The Falcons chose to receive the ball the first half and ended their first drive in the red zone with a 15-yard Hunter McClain field goal.

The second quarter for the Falcons picked up momentum and began on Molina's 22-yard line. Darius Palmer scored on this possession with a 5-yard touchdown run. Quarterback Hunter Herndon score two additional touchdowns before the half – rushing in an 11-yard touchdown and a one-yard touchdown with 11 seconds remaining in the half.

North Forney went into halftime leading Dallas Molina 24-0.

The Falcons kicked off to begin the 3rd quarter. The Falcons first possession went four-and-out and ended with a fake field goal attempt. The Falcons locked down the shutout win with two additional touchdowns, one in the 3rd quarter by Hunter Herndon and one in the 4th quarter on a 90-yard interception return by Jeffrey Scott-Hunter for a final score of North Forney 38, Dallas Molina 0.

Hunter Herndon was crowned the homecoming king and Deja White was crowned the homecoming queen.

The North Forney High School Falcons will have a bye next week before entering district play with a home game against the Terrell High School Tigers on September 25, 2014.
