North Forney Falcons Volleyball Head Coach Ray Kramer said, “Hard fought game. Went back and forth from the first point until the last.” Back and forth it did go as Creekview narrowly won game one by only three points, 25-22.
Game two was won by Creekview by an even thinner margin of two points, 25-23. The final game ended like the first with Creekview winning 25-22.
The girls racked up some impressive stats in the three sets they played. Marilyn Rizzato attacked the ball 21 times and finished with a 42.9% kill percentage with 9 kills. Rizzato also had 2 digs and a block. Other player highlights include Breanna Powell with 20 digs and Peyton Hedrick with 9 digs, 7 kills, and 1 block. Morgan Fischer had 13 digs, 6 kills, and 1 block. Taylyn Cantu had 11 digs and 5 kills. Cierra Harris was the block leader tonight for the Falcons with 4 total blocks.
The Lady Falcons, now 1-2 in district play, will travel back to Carrollton, Texas, to play Newman Smith (1-2) on Tuesday, September 24, 2013.
