FORNEY, Texas — The North Forney High School volleyball teams swept South Garland High School at each level of play on Friday, October 17, 2014, at North Forney High School.
The freshman team swept South Garland in two sets, 25-10 and 25-11. The junior varsity team also swept their opponents in two sets, 25-15 and 25-12.
The varsity team swept South Garland in three sets, in a best-of-five- series, 25-15, 25-9, and 25-13. En route to their victory, North Forney’s top varsity performers include Taylyn Cantu with 10 kills, 3 aces, and 2 digs; Charmece King with 8 kills, 7 digs, and 5 aces; and Breanna Powell with 8 digs, 5 kills, and 3 aces; and Madison Wheeler with 31 assists, 6 digs, 3 kills, and an ace.
