ELLIS COUNTY - 28-year-old Ellis County Detention Officer Isaiah Bias was killed in the line of duty on Monday after being attacked by an inmate while placing him in his cell.

Arlington Babysitter Sentenced to 60 Years for Sexual Exploitation of Children

Arlington, TX - Kaleb Layne Nix, a 26-year-old babysitter from Arlington, has been sentenced to 60 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to multiple counts of sexual exploitation of children. U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, Leigha Simonton, announced the sentence, which was handed down by U.S. District Judge Mark Pittman.

Suspect Arrested In Overnight Officer Shooting

TERRELL - Darrian Cortez Johnson, 25, has been arrested and booked into the Kaufman County Jail. Johnson is charged with Capital Murder of a Peace Officer or Fireman. His bond has not yet been set. 

Terrell Police Officer Fatally Shot Overnight

TERRELL - Around 11 p.m. on Sunday, December 8th, Terrell Officer Jacob Candanoza was shot during a traffic stop in the 1600 block of S. State Highway 34 and succumbed to his injuries at Baylor Scott and White in Forney.

In Arlington, former Texas Rangers pitcher Matt Bush was detained and charged following a multi-vehicle accident that he allegedly caused and subsequently fled.
